To change/add a new bank account on Upstox is simple.

However, before we give you a step-by-step guide, keep any one of the following documents handy as they are required as bank proof to change/add a new bank account on Upstox.

  • CANCELLED CHEQUE
    Cheque should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC & MICR code. Cancelled cheque should be self-attested

  • BANK STATEMENT
    The bank statement must have the following:

  • Bank's logo or stamp on it 

  • Your name

  • Bank name

  • Bank account number

  • IFSC Code

  • MICR Code.
    Keep in mind

  • It must be the latest bank statement

  • A mini statement or m-banking statement will not be accepted. 

  • We don't accept NRI banks on individual resident accounts as bank proof

  • PASSBOOK

  • Passbook with front page which should have all the four details with the stamp/ logo of the bank. 

  • It must have your name, bank name, bank account number, IFCS Code, and MICR Code. 


PAYMENT BANK :

 

You can now submit cancelled cheques, bank statements and passbooks from the following Payments Bank.


Airtel Payment Bank


India Post Payment Bank


 Fino


Paytm Payment Bank


NSDL Payment Bank


 Jio Payment Bank



Note: We allow funds transfer via UPI but do not allow Net Banking fund transfers via a payments bank.

  • The instructions mentioned above for cancelled cheques, bank statements and passbooks from traditional banks

  • In case you are submitting proof, you need to also provide a 6 months statement along with transaction details

  • Ensure the submitted documents are not password protected. If any of the above documents are invaild, it will be rejected and you will be notified to reupload the correct ones. 

  • Once you submit your request for adding a new bank account, our team will verify the details. If everything looks alright, your new bank account will be added within 24-48 working hours . You will also receive email/ SMS from our end confirming this.

To change/add a new bank account on Upstox visit our web portal pro.upstox.com or the Upstox app & follow the steps below.

  1. Login to the Upstox app using your Upstox User ID, password, and your passcode (Year of Birth). Click on the three lines on the top left corner of your screen.

2) Under ‘Account’ click on ‘Bank Details’

 

3) Now, click on the ‘Add New Bank’ button.

 

6) Fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number

 

7) Now, if you wish to mark this account as your primary account linked to Upstox, mark the box that says ‘Mark this as my primary bank account’ and click ‘Next’. The primary bank account linked to Upstox is the account where any withdrawals will get credited.

 

8) Next, to complete the process upload any of the following documents as Bank Proof:



9) Then sign your documents: eSign if your mobile & Aadhaar are linked.

You can eSign your application with these steps: 

  •  Click on the ‘E-Sign (Recommended)’ button.

  • You will be redirected to the eSign confirmation page.

  • Then you will be redirected to validate the eSign. Here, click on ‘ESIGN NOW

  • Next click on the checkbox and accept the ‘Terms of service’ and click on ‘Submit

  •  After clicking on ‘Submit’ you will be redirected to the NSDL website where you will have to enter your Aadhaar number and tick on the checkbox, also click on ‘Send OTP’.

  • You will receive an OTP on the Aadhaar linked mobile Number. 

  • Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify OTP’.  

 Once you verify the OTP you will be able to view the 'Signed Successfully’ confirmation page. Do not close the window, it will close automatically.

To change/add a new bank account on Upstox visit our web portal pro.upstox.com or the new Upstox app & follow the steps below.

1. Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.

2.Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen 

   

 3. Click ‘Account’, and then ‘Profile’.


4. Click ‘My bank details’ under ‘Profile’. You will be redirected to the ‘Bank details’ page. 

 5 Click the ‘Add new bank’ button.

 

6 Now fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number

 

 7. Now, if you wish to mark this account as your primary account linked to Upstox, enable the toggle next to ‘Mark this as my Primary bank account’ and click ‘Continue’. The primary bank account linked to Upstox is the account where any withdrawals will get credited.


 8) To complete the process, upload your bank proof

 

09) Lastly, eSign your document by clicking on ‘eSign (Recommended)’. This can be done only if your Aadhaar is linked to a mobile number. 

       

  • You will now be redirected to the eSign confirmation page, here click on ‘Continue with eSign’

       

  • Then you will be redirected to validate the eSign. Click on ‘ESIGN NOW’.

 

 

 

  • Now you will be redirected to the confirmation page, where you have to click on the checkbox and accept the ‘Terms of service’ and click on ‘Submit’

  • After clicking on ‘Submit’ you will be redirected to the NSDL website where you need to enter your Aadhaar number and tick on the checkbox, also click on ‘Send OTP’. 

 

  •  You will receive an OTP on the Aadhaar linked mobile number.    

  • Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify OTP’.

  • Once you verify the OTP, you will be able to view the ‘Signed Successfully’ confirmation page. Do not close the window, it will close automatically.
