If you’re using an older version of the Upstox app, read this. 


To add the Bank online in your account, you will need to visit our Web portal pro.upstox.com or the Upstox app & follow the procedure below.

Note : Watch this video to get a step by step tutorial on how to add a new bank account from the Upstox mobile app.

1)Login to the Upstox app using your Upstox client code, password, and your pass-code (Year of Birth). Click on the three lines on the top left corner of your screen (hamburger icon).

2) Under ‘Account’ select the Bank Details section.

 

3) Under the ‘Bank detail’ section, click on the ‘Add New Bank’ button.

 

6) Now fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number

 

7) Once done, (if you wish to mark this account as your primary account) mark the box that says ‘Mark this as my primary bank account’ and click ‘Next’.

Note: Primary Bank account is where any withdrawal will get credited.

 

8) To complete the process, upload any of the following documents as Bank Proof:

 

 

  • Cancelled Cheque: Cheque should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC & MICR code. Cancelled cheque should be self-attested.

  • Bank Statement: The bank statement must have the - 

    • Bank's logo or stamp on it and also 

    • Your name

    • Bank name

    • Bank account number

    • IFSC Code

    • MICR Code. 

    • Upload your latest bank statement

    • A mini statement or m-banking statement will not be accepted. 

    • Note: We don't accept payments banks (such as Paytm) and NRI banks on individual resident accounts as bank proof.

  • Passbook: 

    • Passbook with front page which should have all the four details with the stamp/ logo of the bank. It must have your name, bank name, bank account number, IFSC Code, and MICR Code.

Note: Ensure the submitted documents are not password protected. If any of the above documents are invaild, it will be rejected and you will be notified to reupload the correct ones.

 

9) Lastly, sign your documents: eSign if your mobile & Aadhaar are linked.

You can eSign your application with these steps: 

  •  Click on the ‘E-Sign’ button.


  • Once you click on E-Sign it will redirect you to the eSign confirmation page.

 

  • You will now be redirected to validate the E-Sign. Click on ‘ESIGN NOW

 

  • You will then be redirected to the confirmation page, where you have to click on the checkbox and accept the ‘Terms of service’ and click on ‘Submit
  •  After clicking on the ‘Submit’ you will be redirected to the NSDL website where you will have to enter your Aadhaar number and tick on the checkbox, also click on ‘Send OTP’.


  • You will receive an OTP on the Aadhaar linked mobile Number. 

 

  • Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify OTP’.  

 

Once you verify the OTP you will be able to view the 'Signed Successfully’ confirmation page. Do not close the window, it will close automatically.           

 

 

Once you submit your request for adding a new bank account, our team will verify the details. If everything looks alright, your new bank account will be added within 24-48 working hours . You will also receive email/ SMS from our end confirming this.

2) Once you have logged in, click on Avatar / Name initial on the top left corner of your screen. 

 

 

 

3)  Click ‘Account’ and then ‘Profile’.

 

 

4) Scroll down and click ‘My bank details’ under ‘Accounts’. 

 

5) Under the ‘Bank detail’ section, click on the ‘Add New Bank’ button.

 

6) Now fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number

 

7) Once done, (if you wish to mark this account as your primary account) mark the box that says ‘Mark this as my primary bank account’ and click ‘Next’.
