If you’re using an older version of the Upstox app, read this. 


To add the Bank online in your account, you will need to visit our Web portal pro.upstox.com or the Upstox app & follow the procedure below.

Note : Watch this video to get a step by step tutorial on how to add a new bank account from the Upstox mobile app.

1)Login to the Upstox app using your Upstox client code, password, and your pass-code (Year of Birth). Click on the three lines on the top left corner of your screen (hamburger icon).

2) Under ‘Account’ select the Bank Details section.

 3) click on the ‘Add New Bank’ button. 

4) Now fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number


5) Once done, (if you wish to mark this account as your primary account) mark the box that says ‘Mark this as my primary bank account’ and click next.

Note: Primary Bank account is where any withdrawal will get credited.


 6) To complete the process, upload any of the following documents as Bank Proof:


 

  • Cancelled Cheque: Cheque should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC & MICR code. Cancelled cheque should be self-attested

  • Bank Statement: The bank statement must have the 

    • bank's logo or stamp on it and also 

    • Your name

    • Bank name

    • Bank account number

    • IFSC Code

    • MICR Code. 

    • Upload your latest bank statement

    • The mini statement or m-banking statement will not be accepted. 

    • Please Note: We don't accept Payments bank (such as Paytm) and NRI banks on Individual Resident account as bank proof.

  • Passbook: 

    • Passbook with front page which should have all the four details with the stamp/ logo of the bank. It must have your name, bank name, bank account number, IFCS Code, and MICR Code. 

Note: Ensure the submitted documents are NOT password protected. If any of the above documents are invaild, it will be rejected and you will be notified to reupload the corrected ones.

 

7) Lastly, sign your documents: eSign if your mobile & Aadhar are linked.

You can eSign your application with these steps: 

  •  Click on the ‘eSign’ button.

         


  • Once you click on esign it will redirect you to eSign confirmation.

       

  •  It will redirect you to the validation Esign page. Click on Esign Now. 

          

  • It will redirect you to the confirmation page, where you have to verify your document and you have to digitally sign the document by clicking on Sign Now at the bottom of the page.

          

  • After clicking on the Sign Now it will redirect you to the NSDL website where you will have to enter your aadhar number, tick on the checkbox, and click ‘Send OTP’. You will receive an OTP on the Aadhar linked mobile number.

           


  • Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify OTP’.

         


Once you verify the OTP you will receive the successfully signed confirmation page. Do not close the window, it will close automatically.           

Once you submit your request for adding a new bank account, our team will verify the details. If everything looks alright, your new bank account will be added within 24-48 working days. You will also receive email/ sms from our end confirming this.

In order to proceed to Add the Bank online in your account, you will need to visit our Web portal pro.upstox.com or the Upstox app & follow the below procedure.

2) Once you have logged in, click on Avatar / Name initial on the top left corner of your screen. 

 

 

 

3)  Click ‘Account’ and then ‘Profile’.

 

 

4) Scroll down and click ‘My bank details’ under ‘Accounts’. 

 

 5) Under the ‘Bank detail’ section, click on the ‘Add New Bank’ button.

 

6) Now fill in your new account details: 

  • Account Type

  • IFSC Code

  • Bank Account Number

 

7) Once done, (if you wish to mark this account as your primary account) mark the box that says ‘Mark this as my primary bank account’ and click ‘Next’.
