Login to the Upstox App using your Upstox User ID, Password, and Passcode (Year of Birth).
Proceed to the Funds section where you can add funds for securities or commodities.
You can add funds in any one of the following ways mentioned below:
1. NetBanking
- NetBanking or Internet Banking is an electronic payment system that enables you to transfer funds in real-time directly to Upstox.
- To add funds, click on the ‘Add’ button on the Funds page. Then, select the relevant account from which you want to transfer funds along with the amount you wish to transfer.
- Now, select the NetBanking button on the app. You will be charged ₹7 for every transfer made. After selecting this you will be redirected to the respective bank’s NetBanking website where you will have to enter your credentials to pay.

2. UPI transfer
- Adding funds via UPI is free of charge.
- Simply enter your UPI ID, after which you will receive a payment request on your UPI app. Once you accept this request the amount will be credited to your account instantly. List of UPI Apps
3. GPay
You can also add funds using Google Pay (GPay). Once you select Gpay and click continue, a page will pop up on our Upstox platform and you need to enter your pin to make a successful payment.
4. Smart Transfer
- When you open an Upstox 3-in-1 account, you get an Upstox Trading account, along with an Upstox Demat account and a zero-balance IndusInd Bank Savings account.
- The account also comes with an exclusive feature called Smart Transfer which is a clever way to trade without transferring money from your Savings account to your Trading account.
- Simply enter the amount and click ‘Submit’. It will generate a one-time password (OTP) which will be sent to your registered phone number. Once you enter the OTP, your Upstox balance will get updated immediately,
- You can deposit upto ₹ 5,00,000/- in one transaction, and there is no limit to the number of transactions.
- The best part about this is that till your allocated funds are utilized, it continues to attract interest. Thus Smart Transfer saves both your interest and time.

5. NEFT/RTGS/IMPS
Log in to your bank account that’s linked with Upstox and type in the following details to transfer funds via NEFT/RTGS/IMPS:
For Securities:

Additionally, you can check your Payment history from “View Payment History” in the funds section which contains all your withdrawals and deposits.
