You can easily add or transfer funds to your Upstox account from a registered bank account using a variety of methods. 


Note: Fund transfers from NRI/NRO/NRE accounts are only allowed via Net Banking. Other transfer modes are not supported.


Payin Modes

Note: A charge of ₹7 will apply for every transaction made through 'Net Banking.' We do not charge for UPI transfers, GPay, NEFT/RTGS/IMPS, or cheque deposits.

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit Pin or Biometrics.


Step 2: Click on the ‘Account’ tab.


Step 3: Click on ‘Add funds’ as per the trading account.


Step 4: Choose one of the following methods to add funds:


1. UPI App:

  • UPI transfers are free of charge.

  • Click on ‘UPI App,’ select the UPI app through which you wish to add funds, and you will be redirected to your UPI application. Enter your PIN to complete the payment.

Note: The UPI app option is available only on Android devices.


2. UPI ID:

  • UPI transfers are free of charge.

  • Simply enter your UPI ID and accept the payment request that appears in your UPI app to complete the transaction. Here’s a list of supported UPI apps.


3. Net Banking:

  • Net Banking allows you to transfer funds in real time. A fee of ₹7 per transfer will apply.

  • After selecting Net Banking, you will be redirected to your bank’s website to complete the transaction. Here’s a list of banks that support Net Banking.


4. NEFT/RTGS/IMPS:

Log in to your registered bank account with Upstox and use the following details to transfer funds:

Note- Only use your registered bank account for IMPS/NEFT and RTGS transfers. Avoid using PSP apps like BHIM or Google Pay for this method.

  • Once deposited, please upload a scanned copy or photo of the cheque by raising a ticket.
  • Cheques will only be accepted if issued from the same bank account registered with Upstox.
  • You can track your deposit and withdrawal history in the Recent Transactions section under the Securities/Commodities Account tab.
