Below are the steps to Modify a SIP on the Upstox App:
1. Log in to the Upstox app and go to the Mutual Fund section.
2. If you’re on the ‘Upstox for investors’ mode you’ll see a ‘Mutual Fund’ section on the bottom navigation bar. If you’re on the ‘Upstox Pro for traders’ mode the ‘Mutual Fund’ section can be found in the ‘Discover’ section.
3. Navigate to the SIP Section:
Under the ‘Your SIPs’ tab, look at the ‘Active’ SIP orders.
4. Tap on the specific SIP order you wish to change.
5. Update the SIP date and amount as per your preference.
A. Modify/Edit SIP amount:
- Edit the SIP amount and click on ‘Modify’.
B. Modify/Edit SIP date:
- Edit the SIP date and click on ‘Confirm date’.
6. Review the modifications and confirm the updates.
7. You can view the SIP modification status under ;Order History’ where you can see the revised amount and revised date schedule.
Important Information About SIP Modifications:
- Quarterly Modification Limit: Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) can be modified or edited once per quarter.
- Timing Restrictions: Modifications cannot be made within 7 days of the SIP due date. Changes to the SIP date or amount will only take effect from the next month's installment.
- Multiple Adjustments: During the allowed modification window, you can make multiple changes at once (e.g., updating both the SIP date and the investment amount). If you are currently using a manual SIP, you will not have the option to modify your plan.
- Scheme-Specific Limitations: SIP modifications are generally allowed for all mutual fund schemes. However, in cases where a scheme has stopped accepting new SIP investments, modifications will not be permitted.
