On 8 March 2024, we transitioned our Broking and Depository Participant (DP) operations from RKSV Securities India Pvt. Ltd. to Upstox Securities Pvt. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of RKSV Securities India Pvt. Ltd.
Although you may be familiar with our brand name Upstox, our legal entity is RKSV Securities India Pvt. Ltd. To streamline our structure and support further growth, we've taken this decision. With this transition, we aim to introduce additional products and services, ensuring that you have everything you need to Invest Right.
In alignment with this, we request those users who have previously enabled DDPI or submitted their POA to enable DDPI (Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction) by 7 March 2024. If DDPI isn’t enabled by 7 March 2024, they will be moved to our eDIS process which will require them to enter a TPIN and OTP for every Sell order. Where can I find my TPIN?
We have auto-triggered the TPIN SMS for you. This means you will receive an SMS from CDSL with your TPIN. Here is an example of a TPIN SMS received from CDSL.
You can use this TPIN to authorise your sell orders.
Haven’t received a TPIN or wish to regenerate your TPIN? Follow these steps:
After logging into the Upstox trading platform, go to 'Accounts' and then select 'My Account.'
Click on the ‘Profile’ section.
In the 'Generate TPIN for eDIS' section, select 'Get New PIN.' It will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number. For detailed steps, please refer to this link: How to generate an eDIS TPIN?
Alternatively, you can still enable DDPI to place orders on Upstox without TPIN and OTPs. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.
Step 2: Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Click on ‘Profile’.
Step 4: Click on ‘My Account’.
Step 5: Click on ‘Profile’.
Step 6: Click on ‘Sell instantly with DDPI’.
Step 7: Click on ‘Continue to enable DDPI’.
Step 8: Accept the terms and conditions and then click on ‘Continue to pay’.
Step 9: Click on ‘Pay from wallet’.
Step 10: If your account balance is less, please click on 'Add funds'.
Step 11: Enter your Aadhaar number. Read and accept the conditions, then click on ‘Request OTP’.
Step 12: Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
