What is TOTP and how to enable TOTP for my account ?

A TOTP is a temporary one-time password by an authenticator app that regenerates every 30 seconds. By enabling TOTP you can enhance the security of your login process.

If you’re using the updated version of the Upstox app, read this. 

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.

Step 2: Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Click on ‘Profile’.

Step 4: Click on ‘My Account’.

Step 5: Click on ‘Time-based OTP (TOTP)’.

Step 6: Click on ‘Enable TOTP’.

Step 7: Enter the 6-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number. Then click on 'Continue'.

Step 8: Scan QR code on your authenticator app. Also enter the generated 6-digit TOTP. Then click on 'Continue to enable'.

Note: You can download any app Google Authenticator, Authy or Microsoft Authenticator to scan the above QR code.

Step 9: Your TOTP is enabled successfully.
