If your screen or web portal stays idle for too long, there is a possibility that the trading platform is out of sync with the latest data feed. You may get errors like “Price data is out of sync”.

You can address this error by actioning one or more of the below reasons to update the page: 

1. Poor internet connection

  1. Switch to a faster network

  2. Ensure you are getting strong connectivity in your region


2. Refresh Browser

Soft Refresh: You can do a soft refresh which requires clicking on the “Reload button” on the top left hand side (if you are using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge) or on top middle (Safari browser users).

Hard Refresh: Based on your browser type, you can perform hard refresh through either of the below steps:

A. Chrome Browser

  1. On a PC: Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Reload button

  2. On a Mac: Hold down the Shift + Command + R key

 B. Mozilla Firefox

  1. On a PC: Hold down the Ctrl key and press the F5 key

  2. On a Mac: Hold down the Shift + Command + R key 

C. Microsoft Edge

  1. On a PC: Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Reload button

  2. On a Mac: Hold down the Shift + Command + R key

D. Safari Browser

  1. Hold Shift + Click the Reload button

  2. Hold down Command + Option + R

 

3. Clear Cache

A. Google Chrome  

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the window, then select “More tools” and "Clear browsing data"

  3. In the “Clear browsing data” window, select "Cached images and files" and any other data you want to clear, such as cookies or history

  4. Use the drop-down menu at the top to select the time range for which you want to clear data

  5. Click the “Clear data" button

  B. Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the window, then select "Settings”

  3. In the left hand menu, select “Privacy & Security

  4. Scroll down to the “Cookies and Site Data" section and click the “Manage Data'' button

  5. In the “Manage Cookies and Site Data" window, select the entries for which you want to clear cache and click the "Remove Selected" button

  6. Click the “Save Changes" button

  C. Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the window, then select “Settings"

  3. In the Left hand menu, select “Privacy search and services

  4. Scroll Down to the “Clear browsing data” section and click the "Choose what to clear" button

  5. In the “Clear browsing data” window, select "Cached data and files” and any other data you want to clear, such as cookies or history.

  6. Use the drop-down menu at the top to select the time range for which you want to clear data

  7. Click the “Clear now” button.

D. Safari

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Click the “Safari" menu in the top left corner of the screen and select "Preferences”

  3. In the “Preferences” window, select the "Advanced" tab

  4. Check the box next to "Show Develop menu in menu bar"

  5. Close the "Preferences" window

  6. Click the “Develop" menu in the top menu bar and select "Empty Caches”
