If your initial authorisation through EDIS/CDSL fails, Upstox will notify you to reauthorise your sell transactions. You’ll need to authorise these trades on CDSL by:

Once you receive a notification from Upstox at the end of a trade (T) day you need to authorise your trades on CDSL by

  • 7:00 PM on the same day for stocks bought yesterday and sold today (not available in Holdings).
  • 8:00 PM on the same day for stocks that have fully settled and are available in Demat Holdings.

For example, if you place a sell order on Monday, you can authorise it until:

  • 7:00 PM on Monday for stocks not available in Holdings (stocks bought on trading day Friday and sold on Monday).
  • 8:00 PM on Monday for stocks that are already settled and show in your Demat Holdings.
