We're glad to know that you'd like to reactivate your Upstox account!

As per Exchange guidelines, since no trades/investments/transactions have been made from your Upstox Trading and Demat or MCX account in the last 12 months, we’ve made it inactive/dormant. You may reactivate them by submitting a reactivation consent.

Note: You can also reactivate your account by keeping the below points in consideration:

  • If you are being blocked from placing buy/sell order(s) due to dormancy, submit your reactivation consent by clicking the ‘Reactivate’ button in the pop-up message that is displayed when you try to place buy/sell order(s).

  • If you are being blocked from adding/withdrawing funds due to dormancy, submit your reactivation consent by clicking  the ‘Reactivate’ button in the pop-up message that is displayed when you try to add or withdraw funds.

You can submit your consent by following the steps below:

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or Biometrics.

Step 2: Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Click on ‘Profile’.

Note: Users who do not have all their active segments marked as dormant may click on ‘Trading segments’ in the ‘Profile’ section.

Here you can see which specific active segment has been marked as dormant.

Click on the ‘Reactivate Segment’ button.

Step 4:  A pop-up will appear where you need to give your consent to reactivate the dormant segment. Click on  ‘I agree to reactivate the dormant segment’ button.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Reactivate’ button.

Step 6: On successful submission of your consent, our team will reactivate your dormant account within 48 hours.

Note: The above process is to reactivate your account that has been dormant within the last 12 months.
