We're glad to know that you'd like to reactivate your Upstox account!

As per Exchange guidelines, since no trades/investments/transactions have been made from your Upstox Trading and Demat or MCX account in the last 24 months we’ve made it inactive/dormant. 

As you have not traded for more than 24 months, the segment(s) in your account has/have been marked as dormant. you can reactivate them by submitting a reactivation consent and redoing your KYC".

You can submit your consent by following the below steps:

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or Biometrics.

Step 2: Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen.  

Step 3: Click on ‘Profile’.

Note: Users who do not have all their active segments marked as dormant may click on ‘Trading Segments’ in the ‘Profile’ section.

Here you can see which specific segment has been marked dormant.

Click on the ‘Reactivate Segment’ button.

Step 4: Click on I agree and then click on ‘Start KYC’.

Step 5:  Review mobile number and then click ‘Continue’.

Step 6: Review email ID and then click ‘Continue’.

Step 7: As per SEBI guidelines,you are required to record an IPV video of yourself.Then click on ‘Continue’ to proceed or ‘Record again’.

Step 8: You can either ‘Edit’ your annual income or click on ‘continue’ to proceed.

Step 9: You can either ‘Edit’ your bank details or click on ‘continue’ to proceed.

Step 10: Verify your bank account ‘Via UPI’.Then click on ‘Continue’.

OR ‘add details manually’

Step 11: Upload the ‘bank proof’ and then click ‘continue’.

Note : 

Criteria and type of document required for Bank proof:

  • Bank Statement (latest of 6 months)

  • Cancelled Cheque copy

  • Pass Book.

Criteria - Account holder name, Account number, IFSC, Bank Logo/Stamp required on Bank Proof.

Step 12: Review permanent address,if it is same as mentioned.Then click on ‘Yes’.If not then click on ‘No’.

Step 13: Review correspondence address and then click ‘Confirm’.

Step 14: Take a clear picture of yourself as shown in the sample image.

Step 15: Select any proof of income and then click on ‘Upload’.

Step 16: Follow the eSign steps to complete the reactivation request.

Step 17:  It will take up to 4 working days after request submission to verify the KYC details and reactivate the dormant segment.
