As per Exchange guidelines, since no trades/investments/transactions have been made from your Upstox Trading and Demat or MCX account in the last 12 months we’ve made it inactive/dormant. 

If your account has been marked as dormant for more than 12 months, to reactivate it you need to confirm/update your name, registered email address, registered mobile number, latest income details, residential address, and PAN card details by following these steps:

  1. Fill this form: Reactivation Form

  2. Email the filled form along with copies of the below-mentioned supporting documents at support@upstox.com from your registered email ID only.

  1. Print and courier a physical copy of the Reactivation Form along with copies of the below mentioned supporting documents to the KYC processing office address here:

SELF-ATTESTED PHOTOCOPIES OF THE FOLLOWING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE COURIERED ALONG WITH THE REACTIVATION FORM:

1) PAN card 

2) Address Proof (any one of the following can be provided):

-Valid passport (photo ID page and address page)

- Voters identity card (photo ID page and address page)

-Valid driving License (date of expiry also to be attached & front and back part to be shown)

- Aadhaar Card (photo ID page and address page)

 

3) Income Proof (any one of the following can be provided):

-Latest Income Tax Return (latest Financial Year OR Assessment Year)

-Latest salary slip

 (If salary is more than ₹10,000 - latest month salary slip and If salary is less than ₹10000 - latest 6-month salary slip)

-Latest Form 16

-Latest (6 months) bank statement: Bank statement or e-statement should contain a/c number, a/c holder name. It should have the bank logo or stamp.

-Demat holding statement of the last 3 months with more than ₹10,000 holding value.

 

A MINI STATEMENT OR M-BANKING STATEMENT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

 

IF YOU ARE ATTACHING A SALARY SLIP , IT SHOULD HAVE THE COMPANY LOGO/STAMP WITH THE PAN CARD DETAILS OR THE LINKED BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER MENTIONED ON IT.

 

4) Bank Proof (any one of the following can be provided):

-Cheque: Cheque should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code

-Bank statement: Bank statement or e-statement should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code. The bank statement should be of the last 6 months. It should have the bank logo or stamp. A MINI STATEMENT OR M-BANKING STATEMENT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

-Photocopy: Passbook with front page which should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code with stamp/ logo of the bank

 

Keep in mind:

  • In case the email is not sent through your registered email ID, it is mandatory to courier the form along with the documents.

  • Copies of all supporting documents that need to be sent along with the form should be self-attested.

  • After we receive your documents the concerned team will verify your documents and you will get a call from our representative for an IPV (in-person-verification) video on Skype. 

  • Our representative will send you the link to install skype on your registered contact number with us on WhatsApp or through SMS if the registered number is not available on WhatsApp and ask for your availability to complete the IPV.

  • After you install Skype, our representative will call you on the said date and time confirmed by you on the previous call.

  • IPV video can be for 10 seconds, which will be recorded on Skype showing your Face, PAN card, and Address proof documents in hand. 

  • The address details on it should be clearly visible.

  • Your account will be activated within 4 - 5 working days and you can resume trading and investing with Upstox! 

  • The User ID (UCC, client ID) will remain the same as before the deactivation & a new password will be sent to your registered email address.
