We're glad to know that you'd like to reactivate your Upstox account!

As per Exchange guidelines, since no trades/investments/transactions had been made from your Upstox Trading/Demat or MCX account in the past 12 months we had to make it dormant.

To reactivate it, you need to confirm/update your name, registered email address and mobile number, latest income details residential address, and PAN card by following these steps:

- Email the filled form along with the below-mentioned supporting documents at support@upstox.com. You need to email us the reactivation form along with the required documents from your registered email ID only for online reactivation.

Keep in mind:

  • In case the email is not sent through your registered email ID, it is mandatory to courier the form along with the documents.

  • All supporting documents that need to be sent along with the form should be self-attested.

  • The supporting documents are as follows:

1) Pan card copy


2) Address Proof (any one of the below can be provided):
a) Photocopy of a valid Passport (Photo ID page and address page)
b) Photocopy of a Voters Identity card (Photo ID page and address page)
c) Photocopy of a valid Driving License (date of expiry also to be attached & required front and back part of Driving License)
d) Photocopy of Aadhaar Card (Photo ID page and address page)


3) Income Proof (any one of the below can be provided):
a) Latest Income Tax Return (Latest Financial Year OR Assessment Year)
b) Latest salary slip
 (If Salary is more than 10000 required latest month salary slip & If salary is less than 10000 required latest 6-month salary slip)

c) Latest Form 16
d) Latest (6 months) bank statement: Bank statement or e-statement should contain a/c number, a/c holder name. It should have the bank logo or stamp.

e) Demat holding statement of the latest 3 months with more than 10000 holding value.


A mini statement or m-banking statement will not be accepted.


Note: If you are attaching a payslip, it should have the company logo/stamp with the PAN card details or the linked bank account number mentioned on it.


4) Bank proof (any one of the below can be provided):
a) Cheque: Cheque should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code
b) Bank statement: Bank statement or e-statement should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code. The bank statement should be of the last 6 months. It should have the bank logo or stamp. 
A mini statement or m-banking statement will not be accepted
c) Passbook: Passbook with front page which should contain a/c number, a/c holder name, IFSC code with stamp/ logo of the bank


After we receive your documents the concerned team will verify your documents. After verification is completed, you will get a call from our representative for IPV (In-person verification) video. The video will be taken on Skype. Our representative will send you the link to install skype on your registered contact number with us (Link will be sent over WhatsApp or through SMS only if the registered number is not available on WhatsApp) and ask for the availability to complete the IPV.


After you install Skype, our representative will call you on the said date and time confirmed by you on the previous call. IPV (In-Person Verification) Video can be for 10 seconds, which will be recorded on skype showing your Face, Pan card, and Address proof document in hand. The address details on it should be clearly visible.


Your account will be activated within 4 - 5 working days and you can resume trading and invest with Upstox!


The client ID will remain the same as before the deactivation & a new password will be sent to your registered email address.
