If you’re using an older version of the Upstox app, read this. 

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Profile’ icon on the top left corner of your screen.


Step 3: Click on ‘My account’ at the top of the hamburger menu.

Step 4: Click ‘My nominee(s)’. You will be redirected to the ‘Nominee details’ page.

Step 5: Click on ‘Add nominee’ or ‘Opt-out’ of the same.

Note: If you choose to opt-out of adding a nominee, follow the steps - here 

Step 6: Fill in details of your nominee and then click on ‘Continue’.


Step 7: Once nominee details are filled, enter ‘Nominee share in %’. This is how much % you want to give to that nominee.

Step 8: You can click on ‘Add Nominee’ to add 2 more nominees to your account. However this is optional. If you add one nominee then the total ‘Nominee share in %’ should be 100. The total number of nominees you can have are 3.


Step 9: Once all the nominees are added, proceed by clicking on ‘Continue’

Step 10: If the nominee is underage/minor, you’ll need to add guardian details too. You can also provide your own details as the guardian.


Step 11: Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your registered email and mobile number.


Step 12: Your request is under review. It usually takes 1 to 2 working days.

Step 13: Once you submit your request for nominee addition our team will verify the details. If everything looks alright, your nominee will be added within 24-72 hours.
