Changing the correspondence address linked with your Upstox account is quite simple and can be done with just a few steps:

Procedure via Mobile App.

Step 1: Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.

Step 2: Click on ‘Account’ at the bottom of the screen.


Step 3: Click on ‘My Account’.


Step 4: Click on ‘Profile’.


Step 5: Click ‘My contact details’ under ‘Profile’.You will be redirected to the ‘My details’ page. 


Step 6: Under contact information, check the correspondence address and click on the edit icon.


Step 7: Enter address details as per the address proof and click on ‘Update’.

Step 8: Upload your appropriate address proof.

Step 9: Upload your PAN.


Step 10: Lastly, eSign your document by clicking on ‘eSign (Recommended)’. This can be done only if your Aadhaar is linked to a mobile number. 

  • You will be redirected to validate the eSign, for this click on ‘ESIGN NOW’.

  • Now you will be redirected to the confirmation page, where you have to click on the checkbox and accept the ‘Terms of service’ and click on ‘Submit’.


  • After clicking on ‘Submit’ you will be redirected to the NSDL website where you need to enter your Aadhaar number and tick on the checkbox, also click on ‘Send OTP’. 
  • You will receive an OTP on the Aadhaar linked mobile number. 


  • Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify OTP’.


  • Once you verify the OTP, you will be able to view the ‘Signed Successfully’ confirmation page. Do not close the window, it will close automatically.


After successful verification of your documents, the new correspondence address will be updated on your account within 24 - 48 working hours.

Documents accepted as Address Proof: 

- Photocopy of Valid Passport (First and Last page).

- Photocopy of Voters Identity card.

- Photocopy of Valid Driving License (Date of expiry also to be attached).

- Photocopy of Aadhaar Card.


If you’re using the older version of the Upstox app, read this. 

Please follow the below mentioned procedure to change the correspondence address in your account.

Step 1: log into your Upstox account from your mobile and go to the 'Profile' Section.


Step 2: Click on 'My Account'.


Step 3: Click on "My contact details".


Step 4: Click on the option near the correspondence.

Step 5: Enter address details as per the address proof.


Step 6: Upload appropriate address proof.


Step 7: Upload your PAN.

Step 8: On the next page, click on eSign and validate the request by entering OTP sent on your Aadhaar registered number and registered email ID.

You can eSign your application with the following steps. 

  • Click on the ‘eSign’ button.

  • Once you click on esign it will redirect you to Esign confirmation.

  • It will redirect you to the validation Esign page. Click on Esign Now.

  • It will redirect you to the confirmation page, where you have to verify your document and you have to digitally sign the document by clicking on Sign Now at the bottom of the page.

  • After clicking on the Sign Now it will redirect you to the NSDL website where you will have to enter your aadhar number and you have to tick on the checkbox, also click on Send OTP . You will receive an OTP on the Aadhar linked mobile Number.

  • Enter the OTP and click on Verify OTP.

Once you verify the OTP you will receive the successfully signed confirmation page. Here, 'Do not close the window, it will close automatically'.


After successful verification of your documents, the new correspondence address will be updated on your account within 24 - 48 working hours.
