If you’re using an older version of the Upstox app, read this.

-You can set a price alert on the stock that you are following. This means that you will get notified when that particular stock reaches a certain price range. The set alert feature can be accessed by clicking on the clock icon to the top right of the stock overview screen. It can also be accessed from the navigation bar on the left of the home screen.


-You can set an alert for the breach of the price that you want the stock to achieve. This can be for stocks that are falling or rising. It is easy to set an alert within your app. 


-You can choose whether you want to get an alert when the stock falls below a certain point or rises above a certain point. This can be done by selecting the 'either less than or equal to' option or by selecting the  'greater than or equal to' option. Then you enter the price that you want the alert at and tap on 'Set alert'. Once the stock hits this price, you will get an alert in the form of a notification on your phone.

1. Create an alert:

You can set a price alert on the stock that you are following. This means that you will be notified when that particular stock reaches a certain price. The set alert feature can be accessed by clicking on the bell icon to the top right of the stock overview screen.

 

Once you click on the Bell icon you can set the ‘Price Above’ and ‘Price Below’ by enabling the toggle button and click on save changes to set a price alert.

For example, Sail is trading at Rs.130 and you need a price alert at say above Rs.135 then you can enable the ‘Price Above’ toggle button and set the price of Rs.135. Similarly, you can set the price for ‘Price Below’. 


2. View an alert: 

There are two ways in which you can view an alert:

1. You get a push notification.


2. You can go to your inbox and view alerts generated that day.


3. Modify/ Cancel an alert: 

You can modify/ cancel the set alerts from Inbox --> Settings --> Price alerts. You will get a list of alerts that you have set.

Here you can select any stock and make the required changes.
