The steps to check your balance in the back office portal are as follows:

Visit the Keystone portal

Log in with your Upstox user ID and password by clicking on ‘Login Using Upstox’

1. If you are a first-time user, request you to log in with your PAN card number in capital letters. If you face an issue in logging in with your PAN card number, try after 24 working hours. If you still face the same problem, kindly  log on to and reset your password.

2. Click on ‘Reports’ and the select ‘Ledger Report

3. Apply the required year, date, segment and column filters and click Go


4.You can then view your Ledger

The ‘Narration’ column will show you the reason for why your balance is negative  (Credit balance, which is negative while calculating the closing balance).
