You can reactivate your account in case it has turned dormant because of no trading activity for 6 months.


All you need to do is fill the reactivation form and email it to us at ‎support@upstox.com. You will also need to send us a bank statement of the last 6 months that has been self-attested. Once we receive this, your account will be reactivated within 24–48 business hours.

Email us the reactivation form along with the self-attested bank statement of the last 6 months.

You can also provide any one of the following documents:



Last year's Income Tax returns (Form 16 or V)


Last month’s payslip if salary is more than Rs. 10,000


Last 6 months’ payslip if salary is less than Rs. 10,000


Please do not forget to also provide your mother's and father's name which is a mandatory requirement as per the Exchange. You can simply mention it in the email when you send us the reactivation form.

The bank statement should have minimum 15-20 transactions with no negative or zero closing balance

It is suggested to provide a bank statement of the linked bank. If in case, you do not possess the required conditions of the linked bank, then you can provide any other bank statement and it should have the same communication address registered with us

If you are attaching a payslip, it should have the company logo/stamp with the PAN card number or linked bank account number mentioned on it. The payslip should have details of salary description in tabular format.

In order to reactivate the MCX segment, follow the instructions below:


This is with reference to your Trading account with us. Since you have not traded on the MCX segment between 1st February 2019 to 31st January 2020, in compliance with regulatory requirements stated in circular no. MCX/INSP/087/2020, you have been marked as dormant and your MCX segment has been disabled by us.

To resume trading in the MCX segment, you will need to email us the Reactivation form along with the required documents and an IPV Video to support@upstox.com.

Income proof (Latest 6 month's bank statement OR latest year Income Tax Returns (Form 16 or ITRV) OR last month’s payslip (PAN number/linked bank account number must reflect in payslip).



IPV video should be of 5 to 10 seconds which should clearly show your face, PAN, and address proof. The address details on it should be clearly visible. In the video, you shall have to read out the statement, “This video is for reactivating my Trading account with Upstox”, and mention the current date. 




In case there are any changes in your current contact details/address proof/income proof, you will need to submit the Account Modification form along with the Reactivation Form and relevant proof(s).

Once your form & documents are received via courier and validated, you will be able to resume trading in MCX. We will also send an email/SMS informing you of reactivation/discrepancy (if any).
