If you’re using an older version of the Upstox app, read this.

To place a Mutual Funds order follow these steps:

1) Log in to the Upstox app using your User ID and Password.

2)Enter your birth year to verify your account.

3) Go to the 'Invest' tab from the bottom navigation bar and click on 'View All Funds' from the Mutual Funds section.



4) Scroll or search for the desired fund from the Search/Browse Fund option available.


5) Once you select the fund, you will see options such as ‘Start SIP’ or ‘One Time’ or both.


If you want to invest via Systematic Investment Plan (SIP), click on the 'Start SIP' option. To make a one-time lump sum investment, click on the 'One Time' option.

Investing via a lump sum amount: If you click on the ‘One-time' button, you need to enter the amount that you wish to invest in that particular fund. Then, click on 'Review'.


Once you have reviewed your order click on ‘Place Order’ to make your one-time investment.


  • Investing via Systematic Investment Plan (SIP): Click on ‘Start SIP’ and enter the amount you wish to invest in that particular fund. Then, click 'Continue'.


Select how often you wish to pay the installments/ SIP and choose a date for the deduction. Click ‘Continue to bank selection’.

Select the bank for your SIP investment and click 'Continue to review order'.


  Review your order and click ‘Place Order'.


Your SIP order is placed. You can also set up an auto-debit facility.

To place a Mutual Funds order, follow these steps:


1) Login to the Upstox app using your 6-digit Pin or Biometrics.



2) Go to the ‘Discover' tab from the bottom navigation bar and scroll left to right and click on 'Mutual Funds - Explore Funds or Your Portfolio' from the Mutual Funds section.

3) Once you click on ‘Explore funds/ Your Portfolio’ you will be directed to the upstox.com/mutual funds page.

4) Once you select the fund, you will see options such as ‘Start SIP’ or ‘One Time’ or both.

If you want to invest via Systematic Investment Plan (SIP), click on the 'Start SIP' option. To make a one-time lump sum investment, click on the 'One Time' option. 

  • Investing via a lump sum amount: If you click on the ‘One-time' button, you need to enter the amount that you wish to invest in that particular fund. Then, click on 'Review'.

Once you have reviewed your order click on ‘Place Order’ to make your one-time investment.

After this, it will show you a confirmation message on the screen.

On the bottom of the screen, when you click on ‘View Portfolio’ it will redirect to the Mutual Funds portfolio section where you can check your order status under Open orders.

  • Investing via Systematic Investment Plan (SIP): Click on ‘Start SIP’ and enter the Frequency of SIP and select the date for SIP amount deduction. Then click on Amount below.

Enter the amount you wish to invest in SIP and then click on Bank details at the bottom.

Select the bank for your SIP investment and click 'Review'.

Review your order and click ‘Place Order'.

Your SIP order is placed successfully. You can check SIP details under portfolio or email for verification link from BSE. You need to complete verification to set up an Auto debit facility. 



Once you click on “View Portfolio” you will land on MF portfolio page and click on “View order history”


You will see Order History and under SIP option, click on approve E-mandate
